God Is Protecting Your Baby
God is protecting your baby
Have you ever felt out of control? Admittedly it is a frustrating and sometimes maddening circumstance. When we as humans embark on the journey of trying to conceive, we have to realize that we are really not in control. Yes, we have to put our faith to work by actually being intimate, but after that point we have no control on the following sequence of events. Our faith and foundation has to be solely rooted in God to cover, protect and guide us throughout our pregnancy. Ultimately, our life and the life of our unborn child are not in our hands. We may think God will take care of my baby when it enters this world, but guess what friend, God is taking care of your baby from the moment of conception. He says in His Word that He knows our children even before He formed them in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). What blessed assurance that God’s hand is on our womb and the life of our child from the moment of conception. With this assurance it is up to us to believe God’s word that He has built a hedge of protection around us and that only good gifts come from him. Regardless of what a doctor may say to the circumstances your unborn child may be facing, God is able to restore, heal and protect your child from any plans the enemy has in store. We must also guard our mind during such a sensitive time. Our bodies, especially our tongue as the bible says has the power of life or death (Proverbs 18:21). We must be careful to speak only those things, which are positive, uplifting and beneficial to our life and the life of our child even as they are in the womb. In the Bible, Job, a mighty man of God stated that those things, which he feared came upon him (Job 3:25), so it is imperative that we surround ourselves with positive people and environments so that we can avoid that spirit of fear/anxiety. God clearly states he has not given us a spirit of fear but of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) and he that began a good work within us is faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). Keeping the word of God close to your heart is crucial during pregnancy, so that you can use it as a sword against the enemy who is constantly seeking to destroy your faith. Trust and believe God for the best. He is faithful.
When doubt arises, remind yourself that you are strong and mighty in the Lord. Run to the Father, cast your cares on him and he alone will strengthen your heart. He will restore your faith and when those negative thoughts and fears arise, speak the word of God over your womb and over your child’s life. Visualize a healthy, happy baby that God has already blessed you with and connect your faith with others as much as you can. Don’t lose faith because that is the ultimate plan of the enemy. If he can get you to believe God is not a promise keeper or he is not on your side, then he has won. Don’t believe his lies. He may even use the doctors and nurses to deliver unpleasant and unsettling news concerning your pregnancy, but remember that this is an attack of the enemy. During these times we have no control and this might be the most frustrating part, when a doctor tells you something may be wrong with your baby. But whose report will you believe? Even in the most difficult times, God is still with you and if you can have faith as small as a mustard seed he is able to meet you at your point of need.
