Shouldn't I Be Healed Already?

Shouldn't I be healed already? There we're many times in my life where I found myself wondering what is wrong with me and why hasn't God healed or delivered me already from certain issues. Just like you reading this article, I am sure that you have asked God why he has allowed certain things to take place in your life or why you had to go through certain experiences. When you are suffering in your physical body, waiting years and years for a change you can find yourself getting angry at God. It's almost as if we place the blame and responsibility on God for the bad issues that we face in life. I have heard many people say that God put sickness on them to teach them a lesson. Then there are those who believe that being ill and diseased is God's will for their lives. So many questions. We are going to address these subjects in this article.

The first thing that came to my mind when asking the Holy Spirit for answers to these common questions was 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. First we must recognize who our real enemy is... Your adversary the devil. The adversary is the Devil, Satan and his demons. Adversary means enemy or conflict. Our conflict is with the devil. He is the enemy. God is not your enemy. Again, God is not your enemy. The thief comes not but to kill, steal and to destroy, but Jesus came that we could experience life in abundance (John 10:10). God loves you so much and takes pleasure in seeing you prosper. He doesn't take pleasure in seeing you suffer.

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

God sent his son to be the solution for mankind. Scripture states that Jesus went about doing good and healing those who were oppressed which means burdened and weighed down from the devil. When going through so much difficulties in life on earth there most likely have been moments where we said to ourselves, what is the point of being a Christian if I have to endure all this suffering and pain. We've felt like it's too much. We have wondered why doesn't my life look like those in the world or those who got breakthroughs in the bible. When I read my bible I see when Jesus was on the scene multitudes of people came to him for healing and he never turned any of them away. Jesus never said to any person it is not my will to heal. He never denied anyone who came to him for healing. Jesus never said, " nope stay bond and afflicted I am teaching you a lesson".

This means there has to be something very wrong with the teachings and belief system of Christians today. Somewhere the enemy has crept in with this false doctrine that promotes doubt, unbelief and a powerless Christian experience. Here are some scriptures that give an example of Jesus attitude and actions toward his will to heal.

Luke 5: 12-13 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.

Did you see that? Jesus said: "I WILL BE THOU CLEAN".

The woman who had the issue of blood for 12 long years touched Jesus and he knew that virtue came out of him. His response to her was" Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague (Read Mark 5:25-34)

Did you catch that? Jesus attitude toward her getting healed was thy faith made thee whole and go in peace.

Luke 13:11-13 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

We see here that in this case Jesus called her and said to her thou art loosed from thine infirmity. People of God Jesus has called all of us to be healed physically in our bodies. Healing is always God's will. Jesus is God in the flesh. Jesus and God are one. Jesus said he can only do what he sees his father doing. Jesus said, I and my father are one.

Matthew 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Jesus is full of compassion concerning you being healed.

Matthew 8:7 I will come and heal him.

Here are more scriptures that illustrate God's mind and will toward healing.

Matthew 8:16, Mathew 12:15, Matthew 14:36

Ladies and Gentlemen. Healing is Always God's Will

Jesus didn't just die for our sins to be forgiven. He also paid the full penalty for our healing.

Let's explore 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Salvation includes forgiveness of sins and healing.

Isaiah 53:5 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Now lets address the timing in healing. Could there be something standing in the way of healing? I believe the answer is yes. There were many instances where Jesus cast out a spirit by name and then the person was instantly healed. For example, we read earlier about the woman who had the spirit of infirmity for 18 long years. This unclean spirit had crippled her. Jesus spoke concerning her and said woman be loosed from thine infirmity. That crippled condition was accompanied by a spirit called infirmity.

In Mark 9:25, Jesus addressed a deaf and dumb spirit. Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. Jesus took authority calling out the demon spirit by name. Within moments the boy was healed. The longest that I have ever seen someone in scripture waiting for a healing to manifest was an hour. Read Matthew 8:13.

So why then are some people waiting 5, 10, 20 years to see or experience divine healing? Jesus did say all things are possible to them that believe. The bible does say that with God shall nothing be impossible. Mark 11:24 does say if we believe we shall receive anything we ask for in prayer. Mathew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, “Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, ‘Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea,’ it shall be done.

Jesus has all power, and all authority. He had no doubt, no unbelief and was full of faith. His ministry included 100% healing all the time with manifestation of miracles taking place quickly. So here is my conclusion as to hindrances to healing:

  1. Believing that it is not God's will to heal you.

  2. Believing that God is teaching you a lesson by allowing you to stay diseased or sick

  3. Not believing that healing is for today

  4. Disobedience - Not following instructions that God gave you

  5. A demonic spirit that hasn't been cast out is blocking or keeping you from being healed

  6. Not believing you have received (Mark 11:24)

We have to ask the Lord which of these points apply to us? Is it all of them? Some of you might not be dealing with every point I addressed here. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you into all truth. The Holy Spirit is a revealer. I personally believe that it is God's will for every believer to get to the place of divine health where there is absolutely no sickness among us, where we are fruitful in all areas of our lives. A place where we fully have all the blessings of Deuteronomy 28. God has no problem healing you but you should also know that the Kingdom of God operates with laws and principles. There are good and bad consequences to obedience and disobedience. God has set guidelines to have access to blessings. If we follow his instructions then we can have what he says we can have and we'll be able to do what he says we can do. I hope this article has positively impacted you on your healing journey.

I encourage you to re-read this article and fully absorb the concepts revealed. Feel free to share it with anyone you know who needs to be healed. I believe that you can be healed and that you can be healed right now in this season!
